About the Artist

I live on a hilltop in Pescadero, Baja California Sur, Mexico enjoying my retirement in the company of four cats and three dogs. My home, "El Mirador" (the lookout), is of woven stick walls, some plastered with adobe, with a palapa (palm-thatched) roof. It is my dream-come-true to be able to live in such close contact with nature, essentially "en plein aire."

In the midst of a 360 degree view of mountains, desert and sea, I am a witness to the constant changes in light and atmosphere that weather and time of day create. Using pen and ink, watercolor and oil I attempt to express the awe I feel for the beauty that surrounds me. I have recently begun experimenting a palette knife technique with oil, and am always open to new ideas.

My paintings are on display here on the hill, as well as a variety of cards of local vistas and historic buildings. The Hotel California in Todos Santos sells my watercolor card of that hotel.
